The commonwealth was recently awarded $28.8 million to increase broadband availability in northern Pennsylvania.

Local telecommunications and internet service providers will be able to purchase new capacity at competitive rates to serve citizens, schools, businesses, and other organizations in across northern Pennsylvania.

Wednesday, May 12, 9:00 am, Penn College of Technology, Williamsport
Wednesday, May 12, 3:00 pm, Triton Hose Company #1, Tunkhannock
Citizens & Community Leaders can learn about the benefits of broadband; how this project will improve service in northern PA; the commonwealth’s broadband data collection/mapping effort; and efforts to increase broadband adoption.
Representatives of Anchor Institutions can learn about benefits that may accrue to your organization as a result of this project.
Broadband Providers can learn about potential offerings such as access to state towers and backhaul services.
