HARRISBURG, April 14- Many utility and energy companies have changed their rates and prices this year leaving customers confused

and sticker shocked. However, Pennsylvanians can take back control of their burning pockets as Phyllis I. Bennett, Candidate for State Representative-District 106, And the The Empowered Municipality will host an informational “Energy Choice Town Hall Meeting” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 10th, located in the Olmstead Building’s Kunkle Auditorium Room at the Penn State Harrisburg campus in Middletown.
Representatives from various energy providers including PP&L, the Public Utilities Commission, the PA Consumer Advocacy Office, and Scott Albrecht, a Certified Energy Auditor will explain Act 129, Energy Deregulation for Consumers and Municipalities, and its Impact on the companies and its customers. A representative of the Department of Public Welfare will explain the Low Income Heating & Electric Assistance Program (LIHEAP) qualifications.
This event is open to the public and free to attend. Refreshments will be served.
