“…we can actually help companies start to plan their transition off of traditional fossil fuels onto alternative technologies and plan that in a growth intensive and profit driven approach.” Hara CEO Amit Chaterjee recently said in a recent interview.
With marquee clients like Coca Cola and the City of San Jose, the company seems to have grabbed an ahead of it’s time lead in this industry.
“First, we increase operational efficiency.  We drive anywhere from 2.5 million dollars to 7-10 million dollars off of our customer’s bottom line by actually improving their use of energy, and reducing water consumption and eliminating some solid waste areas,” Chaterjee said recently.
This company is well positioned to grow universally after a recent 14 million dollar infusion to help it expand.  The investment was led by JAFCO Ventures, Nth Power and established venture capital firm Kleiner, Perkins Caufield & Byers.
“As natural resources continue to become scarce because of global competition some companies may want to think about how they advance their business. Based on whether or not environmental production should actually change how they actually execute a new product line, and/or expansion into a new geographic territory. By doing that it allows them to have a strategic plan that actually grows as an ongoing concern,” Chaterjee recently said.
Hara also views green technology as a way to save and create new jobs for companies and economies.
“My view is that the environmental opportunity for organizations to preserve net jobs is to look at energy efficiency. To create net new jobs you need to look to invest in energy technologies,” Chaterjee said recently.
