Can we have development of the Marcellus Shale deposits and protect the environment? Well, this is the $1.0 TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION.

The stakes are big, the opportunites are also. Everyone has a stake in the outcome of this. The money seems too big and enduring to pass up. So, I think this will happen. The State ultimately will tax this is one way or another. The outcomes I would like to see are:


The majority of the taxes be dedicated to:


Environmental Mitigation


Building New Water Treatment Plants


Funding for Local Municipalities


Enforcement of Regulations and Compliance


And I think is should be in this order.


Finally, the funds should not just go into the GENERAL FUND, where they can be spent on who knows what.
