to conserve energy and cut wasteful spending in all county government operations.
The Sustainability Policy for Allegheny County, which takes effect immediately in all aspects of government functions, contains "aggressive goals for reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions," Mr. Onorato said.
It will start with an ongoing energy use review of the 20 biggest buildings Allegheny County owns and operates, Mr. Onorato said.
