With the formation of Governor Elect Corbett's Transition Team, now is the time to enhance those programs that best typify the needs of municipal governments throughout Pennsylvania.This is a wonderful opportunity

to alert key leaders as to the specific needs that are your priority. You may know some of the members of the Transition Team, and even if you do not, make a contact, talk to your State Legislator about your ideas and ask that they be provided to someone on the Team.
How can you best accomplish this mission? Here are a few suggestions.
- Prepare a brief one page paper on what you believe the new Administration should focus on that will enhance your municipality or nonprofit organization.
- Provide one example of something that has not as yet been achieved and that some support through the new Administration can accomplish.
- Follow up with e-mail that demonstrates the significance of either continuing an existing State program, changing or adjusting that program, and/or establishing a new initiative.
- Notify the entire State legislative delegation in your home county that you are providing information and advice to the new Administration
By organizing your observations early on as the new Administration takes hold, it will implant in the minds of the new leadership team that municipalities are crucial and core pieces of the entire process that need maximum support in the next four years.
